Mount Gambier Airport

Gateway to the Limestone Coast

The Mount Gambier Airport has been operating on its current site since 1936.

During the Second World War it became a RAAF training base for aerial observers. At its peak it hosted over 1000 personnel.

Since that time it has been an important destination for air travel, with flights from both Adelaide and Melbourne. These routes have been served for well over 70 years with various airlines using various aircraft.

Today Regional Express provide daily flights to the SA and VIC capitals using SAAB 340 aircraft.

The airport is also home to a full-time aeromaintenance base, charter airline (deBruin Air) and over 15 private owned general aviation aircraft.

The Mount Gambier Aero Club also calls the airport home with the club located in a prime position for aircraft viewing.
